Boring dirge August 16, 2010 J. J. Mann 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
OMG what a boring dirge of an album. My wife quite likes it. I bought it for her birthday -but next time maybe I should listen to it first!
not quite folk August 1, 2010 Kirit Champaneria (wales) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I saw Mumford & Sons on Later with Jools Holland. They were a revelation. I listened to some samples on Amazon and bought the mp3 version of the album. I have enjoyed every minute of the surging guitar and faux banjo dueling, which in addition to a quirky vocal style make for an excellent record. Buy it - you won't regret it.
good album, great service July 22, 2010 Mr. S. Japp (Scotland) as expect the service from amazon was excellent, quickly installed a program for downloading mp3 tracks then downloaded album in a few minutes. added to itunes then ipod within 15 minutes of clicking to buy. excellent.
the album itself is good, ive only listened to it maybe 3 times, so some of the tracks might be growers but some are excellent on first listen. The band tend to use the word "heart" in every song, silly but bugs me a bit.

Brilliant! July 14, 2010 taylzo (Northern Ireland) Really catchy songs, but good to chill out to also. Different to what I normally listen to, love it.
Brilliant album July 4, 2010 M L Roach (Hampton, Middlesex United Kingdom) With haunting lyrics, catchy melodies and a sometimes raspy delivery, this album pulls the listener in and doesn't let go. It's not a grower (it's an instant hit - no doubt), but it requires a few listens to really get under the skin - and once it's there it's never leaving. Brilliant.
