| Customer Reviews: Snoop Dogg July 19, 2010 Black Mambo (Hertfordshire, UK) I really liked this album, was listening to it on the way to work this morning!!!! Its got some really good songs on here, more good than bad so would defo recommend it :)
I Wanna Rock January 11, 2010 JL (BELFAST) Well Tha Big Homie is back once again!!! I just wanna say firstly that this is a good album from Snoop i give it 4 only cos i couldnt give it 3.5
Snoop as everyone knows has been in the game for a minute and has always been hampered by the fact his first album was a classic just like other artists like MJ, people cannot get over the fact that he cant do a better album than Doggystyle but this is way Doggystyle is a classic!!
Anyway this new album is a good album, and with every rapper these days u know it has the usual suspects as far as production so u got Danja, Neptunes, Tricky, so the production is good and some of the tracks are also very good especially the singles Gangsta Luv and I Wanna Rock which are 2 of the best tracks on the album along with Upside Down and Thats Tha Homie, Pimpin Aint EZ. The rest of the tracks are solid good tracks which u would expect of Snoop. On thing i found strange was the track with Lil Jon, i dunno but fr me lil jon and the stuf he does had its moment and it was a while ago so i found this track pretty random.
So the album over all is a good album and is worth getting but one thing i will say is that Snoop had a great mixtape out just before the album to biuld aniticipation for this album and to be honest the mixtape for me is probably better than the album, the mixtape was called ''I WANNA ROCK'', if u dont want the album i would def get the mixtape cos it had gangsta luv and the single i wanna rock on it which are 2 of the best tracks on the album!
Different from his usual stuff but decent December 21, 2009 KM (England) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Snoop Dogg returns with his tenth studio album, MALICE N WONDERLAND, keeping with the smoother, more radio-friendly R&B style as opposed to gangsta rap or even heavy hip hop for that matter. But is it any good? Well initially I didn't like it - I was hoping he'd steered away from the sound of his previous album, EGO TRIPPIN' (which, apart from the singles My Medicine and Sexual Eruption, I hated) but he has kept the lighter tone, however for a majority of the album he has gotten rid of the terrible synthesizer, auto-tune locals which ruined his last album. This album is definitely a grower though, featuring some of the best producers in the game at the moment such as Dr Dre, Timbaland, The Neptunes and The-Dream, you cannot at least admire the quality of the music if nothing else and I like how Snoop is moving along with the times and coming up with music that feels both fresh and imaginative, combining the best of both hip hop and R&B.
The first single, Gangsta Luv (feat. The-Dream) is, although very R&B, the best track on the album - a great mix of rapping and singing. There is enough hip hop on here to please his old fans, with tunes like 2 Minute Warning, I Wanna Rock and Secrets, so if you've been listening to Snoop since his Death Row days, like myself, then you will more than likely enjoy this.
Great album from the D O G G December 8, 2009 N. Blake 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Good solid album.
If Snoop Dogg is not your thing then this will not convert you but if you have been a long time fan you should find that this is a welcome return to form. Enjoy
There maybe Malice BUT this album is definitely nowhere near Wonderland... December 2, 2009 Lorenzo Gordon (London, Eng) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am not biggest Snoop fan but i still like the odd joint he releases...this album though isn't doin' it for me and i would go as far to say Snoop must be fallin' outta love with music as the album is WHACK!
For me like MANY albums nowadays this is all fillers and no thrillers, i don't see why artist just releases singles as i would guarantee they would sell by the bucket load.
Save your money and download individual tracks instead...
My stand out tracks are:
5. Different Languages
6. Gangsta Luv
11. Pimpin' Ain't EZ
13. Special
