Not far off the mainstream but Folk non the less.
Some catchy numbers on this album makes for easy and enjoyable listening
definately worth buying to add to an eclectic collection.
no taste no more July 23, 2010 Richard Harris 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
people believe the radio and TV too much nowadays. the music contained on this disc is "ok" but the 6th form amateur poetry which serves as the lyrics betray the shallowness of what's really on offer here. If i had a pound for every time the word "heart" gets mentioned (vaccuously as it happens), i'd be able to buy this album many times over. Idle, childish love songs written by someone who doesn't believe a word of what he's singing, but dress the boys as antiques dealers and sell 'em as deep n meaningful and the masses will lick it up. Not straying too far from the genre, those of us who remember the Levellers of the Waterboys in the their prime can't possibly be charmed by this.
good album, great service July 22, 2010 Mr. S. Japp (Scotland) as expect the service from amazon was excellent, quickly installed a program for downloading mp3 tracks then downloaded album in a few minutes. added to itunes then ipod within 15 minutes of clicking to buy. excellent.
the album itself is good, ive only listened to it maybe 3 times, so some of the tracks might be growers but some are excellent on first listen. The band tend to use the word "heart" in every song, silly but bugs me a bit.
Album 4 stars
Service 5 stars
